8th Grade Moving-Up Ceremony Tickets

On Friday May 30th, we distributed the Moving-Up Ceremony tickets to your student. Each eighth grade student was given a sealed envelope with 5 tickets. In the event you don't need all of them, please have your student return the extra tickets back to the main office. We have a waiting list started for families that may need more than the tickets provided. If you are a family in need of more than 5, please email the main office to be added to the waitlist. If your student was not in school on Friday, please have them stop by the main office on Monday to receive their tickets

We are looking forward to celebrating with you!

District Updates

Rte 202 Road Closure-June 16, 2025-August 31, 2025

Dear Region 20 Community,

The district was notified about the road closure of Route 202 over Still Brook, Town of Litchfield beginning Monday, June 16, 2025.  To view the Public Notice & Detour Plan please click here.

This road closure will create student transportation delays by approximately 15 minutes to/from school/home for the following buses:

Lakeview High School/Plumb Hill Middle School

Buses: 2, 5, 20, 22, & 23

Litchfield Elementary Schools

Buses: 2, 5, 10

Our schools are aware of this issue and will handle student arrival delays accordingly.

 Sincerely,

Jeffrey A. Villar, Ph.D.

TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT - STUDENT DEVICES

At the middle school level, students will retain their assigned devices from year to year. The primary goal of this process is to account for all spare/unassigned devices and confirm that all actively issued devices remain in the possession of students.

Please Note:

  • All spare/unassigned student devices must be returned to the technology department for inventory by June 11th.

  • Any student/family that prefers not to keep the device over the summer may return it to the middle school tech office for secure storage. These devices will be reissued to the student at the beginning of the 2025–2026 school year.

  • Students should report any device issues before the last day of school so appropriate repairs can be made.

  • The consequences for unreturned devices are aligned with the middle school RAUT (Responsible and Acceptable Use of Technology) agreement, which families signed earlier this year.

ATHLETICS DEPARTMENT

SPRING SPORTS UPDATES:

Softball

The Plumb Hill softball team had a wonderful season filled with lots of team and individual accomplishments. They went into every game with lots of effort, enthusiasm, and always great sportsmanship. They were well respected by all the other coaches and fans, and exemplified what it means to be true athletes. The season ended with a record of 5-4-1. All 13 eighth graders contributed to the success of our season, and they all set a great example for our one seventh grader and three sixth graders. Cadence Eterginio, Gabi Maida, and Sunny Fedorovich led our offense and contributed hits and runs in every game. Gabi, Allie Munday, and Ella Paradise split the pitching and helped keep us in every game. The team played smart defense and always kept the other teams on their toes with their aggressive baserunning. Every member of this team contributed to the success of the season, and represented Plumb Hill Middle School in a positive manner. Way to go, team!!

Baseball

The Plumb Hill Baseball team wrapped up an incredible 2025 season with an outstanding 10–1 record, showcasing grit, growth, and great baseball all spring long. From the first pitch of the season, the Bobcats played with heart, determination, and a strong team-first mindset that carried them through close games and big wins alike. The team’s only loss came against a very impressive New Milford team, and they responded with resilience, going on a dominant win streak that saw key performances on the mound, clutch hits at the plate, and rock-solid defense in the field. Every player stepped up when it mattered, whether it was throwing a no-hitter, turning a game-changing double play, or coming through with a bases-loaded hit. The coaching staff couldn't be prouder of this group. Not just for the wins, but for the sportsmanship, effort, and teamwork shown day in and day out. The Bobcats played the game the right way, supported one another, and truly represented the spirit of Plumb Hill. Congratulations to all the players on an amazing season!

Track and Field

The Plumb Hill Track & Field team wrapped up a strong and spirited season, with both the boys and girls teams putting in tremendous work and showing consistent improvement throughout. From early practices through the final meets, the athletes pushed each other, trained together, and supported one another every step of the way. The boys team demonstrated resilience and teamwork, achieving several personal bests and strong finishes across events. Meanwhile, the girls team capped off their hard work with a major highlight—winning the end-of-season invitational. Their victory was a testament to their determination, depth, and the energy they brought to every competition. Together, both teams represented Plumb Hill with pride, heart, and sportsmanship. It was a season of growth, grit, and great memories.
