PHMS Student Dismissal Options:
Bus, Pick-Up or Walker
~The school does oversee bus transportation. If your child needs to take a different bus at the end of the day for child care purposes, we do require a note or email to the school. The request will need to be in writing. Once this is approved by administration, we will provide the student with a bus pass for that day.
~The school does not need to be informed regarding end of the day dismissal via "parent pick-up." This is an arrangement between the parent/guardian and the student.
~The school does not oversee student walkers. This is also an arrangement between the parent/guardian and the student.
*If you are requesting a permanent alternate bus change, you will need to fill out the Alternate Bus Form which is located in PowerSchool.
We are excited to announce our upcoming Team-Building Field Trips to Camp Jewell! Each grade level will spend a day participating in fun and engaging activities designed to strengthen communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. These experiences are especially important at PHMS, as middle school is the first time students from all four towns come together as one community.
Trip Dates:
8th Grade – Mon., September 15
7th Grade – Tues., September 16
6th Grade – Mon., September 22
Permission slips will be sent home on Monday, September 8, along with more detailed information. We are thrilled to bring these opportunities for connection and community-building to our students!

If you are dropping items off during the day for your child, there is a table located in the vestibule labeled "Parent Drop/Student Items" for your convenience. Please label the item with your students name before dropping it off.

Re: After-School Supervision for Student-Athletes
Dear PHMS Families,
We are excited to kick off our fall athletics season and look forward to cheering on our Bobcat student-athletes!
To support families, PHMS offers after-school supervision in the cafeteria until 4:00 PM for students whose practices do not begin right after dismissal. This option ensures students are safe and supervised while they wait.
A few important reminders:
Once checked in, students must remain in the cafeteria under staff supervision until practice begins.
Students are not permitted to leave the cafeteria, the building, or campus during this time.
Families may choose the option that works best:
Your child attends after-school supervision until practice begins.
Your child leaves school at dismissal and reports directly to their practice at the scheduled time.
There is no supervision on early dismissal days
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep all students safe, supervised, and ready for their activities. Here’s to a great season ahead for all of our PHMS athletes!
